Sydney - Collection Daniel Vigne. Paris Les boucliers de la vallée de Nipa ne sont généralement pas sculptés mais seulement peints. Ce bouclier comporte le dessin classique consistant en une bande centrale, la colonne vertébrale, avec deux demi-cercles (soleil et lune) de chaque côté de celle-ci. Taillé dans le bois de « Fel », plus dure que le bois de « Warr », ce bouclier était utilisé par les chefs. Paris The shields of the Nipa Valley are generally not carved but only painted. This shield features the classic design consisting of a central band, the spine, with two semicircles (sun and moon) on either side of it.
