Rye, New York Figures d’ancêtres, Les Bioma étaient placées au dessus des crânes de crocodiles et de porcs, non loin des planches Gope, dans l’alcôve du clan au sein de la maison des hommes. Selon T. Schultze Westrum lors de son séjour sur l’ile d’Urama des informateurs lui ont signalé que le bois utilisé pour la fabrication des Bioma était celui servant à la fabrication d'une nouvelle pirogue, et non celui de vieilles embarcations. According to Schultze Westrum, while on Urama, he was told by informants that wood from old boats was never used in the carving of a Bioma. Only new wood was used to produce the figures.
