Rye, New York Cette spatule servait à remuer une soupe à base de sagou préparée lors de fêtes cérémonielles, notamment lors de la seconde des trois cérémonies faites à l’occasion d’un décès. Elle était aussi utilisée pour la préparation des moni (dénommées mona aux iles Trobriand), boulettes à base de taro bouillies dans du lait de coco. Rye, New York These large spatulas were used to stir sago in ritual gatherings, most commonly on the second of three funeral ceremonies traditionally held for a deceased loved one.
